With the Pianegonda jewellery we advise you to clean jewelry with a soft, humid cloth. It is really important not to use any commercial cleaning products. We suggest you conserve your jewel in the original Pianegonda jewellery box in which it was sold. You will protect the jewel's surfaces by returning it to the jewellery box after each wear. For added safety, please observe a few simple rules: - Please do not let your jewels come into contact with perfumes, creams, soap, cosmetics, hair lacquer, and chemical detergents and bleach as they can cause -discolouring and even disintegration. Exposure to high temperatures can also damage jewels. - Please remember that silver quickly blackens when it comes into contact with salted water, spa waters or sulphur-based products (e.g. rubber gloves). - Avoid using ultrasound-cleaning equipment, which can sometimes cause damage to gems. - Take care not to knock your jewels and avoid rough surfaces. A lot of people are surprised to learn that even diamonds can splinter from hard blows. Sarah has gentle cleaning cloths for silver, gold and diamonds.
