NZ Gynaecological Cancer Foundation PromotionThe aim of the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation (NZGCF) is to educate and raise awareness about all gynaecological cancers. In New Zealand, one woman dies every day from a gynaecological cancer. Sarah, the director of Orsini’s Fine jewellery store, sadly lost her mother Bev to uterine cancer. Sarah has donated her time and services to instigate & coordinate the 'Silver Ribbon' jewellery by Peter Minturn, a renowned New Zealand jeweller. Peter is a very well known jeweller. In the past he has commissioned work for the Queen, Princess Anne, Elton John, Dame Te Atairangkaahu to name a few... Even though we rebranded from the Silver Ribbon Foundation to NZGCF in 2010, the Silver Ribbon still symbolises the heritage of the foundation. Please support the NZGCF by purchasing a pendant or brooch. Each silver ribbon pendant or brooch sold will raise $35 for the foundation. Lisa Hoskin a well known New Zealand jeweller has also created a range of jewellery that incorporates the foundations new logo, launched in Sept 2010. This fabulous range comes in a variety of designs and features the teal colour which symbolises gynaecological cancer internationally. Lisa is incredibly supportive & hopes that as many women as possible can be aware of the symptoms to look out for. 20% of all sales goes towards the important work being carried out by the NZGCF.
