Here is a very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal about Pomellato; they call the brand ‘glamorous yet wearable around the clock’. The history of the company is fascinating, being 45 years old and one of Milan’s loftiest Fine Jewelers. However they do mention that Pomellato do an admirable job of flying under the radar.
The Pomellato house introduced less expensive semi precious colored stones to its line in the late 80’s, “no-one had thought to use them before” explains Morante of the kaleidoscopic stones. “Pomellato was the first to introduce them, and it revolutionized the industry”.
I love this quote from Caterina de Renzis Sonnino, who is a winemaker who resides at her families 17th century castle in Tuscany, she makes the comment “I really don’t need jewellery for a Ball, Pomellato makes gorgeous jewellery that I can wear to the supermarket”.
It is thrilling to bring such beautiful jewellery to women in New Zealand.
