September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness month, and on Thursday 28th September 2017 we held our annual charity fundraiser for NZGCF.
Thank you to our guests
We would like to thank all of you who supported our annual charity luncheon last week. We are delighted to be able to say that we raised $12,495 for the charity this year, a record breaker! I am sure they will be able to use this money towards very important awareness raising about the signs and symptoms of gynaecological cancers. This has been the 5th year that we have raised funds and awareness for the NZ Gynaecological Cancer Foundation.
We were booked out in advance with over 100 ladies (and a few men) attending for an Italian-themed lunch. Non Solo Pizza have supported the lunch every year and do an amazing job with great food and courtyard ambiance. There was also lots of hype on the street, with security guards, the Maseratis, and models walking up and down.
Veuve Clicquot was presented upon arrival, followed by a full 3 course lunch by NSP, while enjoying fashion by Jane Daniels and exquisite Orsini fine jewellery direct from Italy.
Orsini launched Gucci at the event, to join their existing collection of dynamic Italian brands (Hulchi Belluni, Marco Bicego, Pomellato & Dodo). The luncheon was themed on Pomellato's campaign 'For Women'. Click link to see this wonderful campaign.
Our events are Italian themed, with sumptuous Italian food, beautiful fashion and jewellery from Italy. Jane Daniels creates her fashion using the finest cloth, importing many fabrics from Italy.
With special thanks to
It was a wonderful day, and I have special thanks for all who made the event possible. The Parnell community - Non Solo Pizza, Jane Daniels Clothing, ASC Salon in Parnell, Blush Flowers, Veuve Clicquot, Passion for Paper as well as Grayson Coutts who did the makeup, Red 11 for providing models, Mike Peffers for the stunning photography, Tried & True for the design of the invitation, Soar Print & Maserati for the exceptional cars and gifts for the auction. We were also donated an amazing piece of artwork by the International Art Centre in Parnell, and a coffee machine by Nespresso.
Peter Williams was our MC; he is a board member on the NZGCF foundation, and a passionate supporter having lost his first wife to Ovarian Cancer. My mother passed away from gynaecological cancer at the age of 62, which drives me to help such a worthwhile cause, raising awareness about the signs and symptoms. A fabulous help and support on the day was by Jan Barker, who is also on the board of the NZGCF.
Looking forward
The lunch sold out very quickly so we will be holding another lunch on Thursday 22nd of February, specifically to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer, as Feb is Ovarian Cancer awareness month.
We will launch more special Gucci pieces and other fine jewellery collections at the February event.
Make sure you join our database to find out more.
Warmest,
Sarah
