The Ouroboros is an ancient Egyptian symbol, representing a snake eating its own tail and is often associated with introspection and the infinite cycle of nature's creation and destruction. In the medieval alchemical tradition, it was often taken to symbolize recreation or infinity, “the unity of all”. It is a recurrent symbol in Alessandro Michele’s aesthetic.
