    Orsini Namesake and Heritage

I often get asked questions by my customers about why I chose the name Orsini for my business.

The Orsini family is an Italian noble family; it was one of the most influential princely families in medieval Italy and renaissance Rome.

Members of the Orsini include popes Celestine III (1191–1198), Nicholas III (1277–1280), and Benedict XIII (1724–1730), 34 Cardinals of the Roman Church and numerous condottieri and other significant political and religious figures.

There are several notable buildings and places named after, or built by, the Orsini family:

The famous Bracciano castle, built in Bracciano in 1426.
The ‘Parco di Bomarzo’, just outside the city of Bomarzo is a Late Renaissance garden gallery of sculptures and architecture commissioned in the 16th century by Vicino Orsini.
The Orsini Palace in Rome, including the Theatre of Marcellus.
The Parco di Bomarzo also includes a palace!
Palazzo Orsini Pio Righetti, also in Rome.
    More Orsini Castles in:
    Sant’Angelo Romano (15th century)
Soriano nel Cimino (built by Nicholas III in 1278)
    Vasanello (12th century)
    What a namesake!
The background of our name shows who we are. We aim for the highest quality and luxury fine gold jewellery, with exclusively handmade Italian pieces, to uphold the history of our name.
