Attending the 2013 Hong Kong Jewellery Fair is quite an experience, not as sophisticated or stylish as the European fairs but an amazing opportunity with approx 3,300 exhibitors from all over the world. I did notice a huge difference in the finished jewellery quality and designs at the fair, and have a greater appreciation for the quality of the European jewellery that I source. My favourite venue at the fair was the premium diamond section (funny that!), they had the most enormous and amazing quality of diamonds on display and a wonderful section of rare natural diamonds including the vivid natural yellow diamonds, which I love. I could have spent all day in this one area!! Heaven!
I was looked after very well by the staff at Marco Bicego (they happened to be in Hong Kong at the same time) and spent time with Marco Bicego, the world renowned designer.
I had a fabulous time being wined & dined in the evenings with the staff from Marco Bicego including dinner at the 100th floor of a building. Amazing food, company & views!!
I was very impressed with the hotels & luxury jewellery, The Peninsula Hotel housing some of the most spectacular jewellery stores, Harry Winston, Piaget, Cartier, Chanel to name a few. A truly unforgettable jewellery retail experience.
I would have to rate Hong Kong as a fabulous jewellery fair to attend. The view from my window was truely spectacular, just like a postcard. I would love to pop back again next year!!
